Family owned and operated since its inception, Mamoun’s has grown into a premier brand that is recognized as one of the oldest and most legendary falafel restaurants in the country. With its original flagship location still operating in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York City, Mamoun’s is now part of the storied history and culture of the Village.

Vegan & Gluten-Free Friendly Menu
Mamoun’s menu offers a variety of vegan and gluten free items. Our namesake falafel is vegan and gluten free, along with our hummus, baba ganouj, grape leaves, and seasoned rice. Our seasoned fries, lentil soup, and tabbouleh salad are vegan as well, while all of our meat choices (chicken kebob and shawarma) are gluten free. We also offer a variety of platters that are gluten free, including falafel, chicken kebob, shawarma, and our popular combo plate.
HALAL MENU
Mamoun’s is committed to serving quality food using quality ingredients. As part of that commitment, all the meat we serve is certified “halal”. This means that the meat does not contain any pork or pork product (including gelatin and shortenings) and that the animal has not been treated with any antibiotics or growth hormones and has been fed a natural diet that does not contain any animal by-products. Simply stated, when eating halal meat, you know exactly what you’re getting - fresh quality meat without any additives or preservatives.
